Cookie Settings and Details
In order to provide easy access to Merriam-Webster Unabridged, we employ the use of browser cookies, specifically persistent cookies, which retain your log-in information from session to session. For those with privacy concerns, we offer per-session cookies, which require you to log in each time you access the site.
Please make sure that cookies are enabled on your browser. Select the appropriate link for instructions on how to enable cookies in your browser.

Persistent Cookies are saved to your hard drive and are available to the Web site software each time you access the site. This type of cookie allows you immediate access without having to log in for each session.
Per-session Cookies last for the duration of your browsing session only and are not stored permanently on your hard drive. They allow access while moving from page to page but require that you log in once per visit. They are automatically deleted when you end a session by closing your browser. |
